This is the sister book of Listening to Cantonese – Basic Skill. The book a total of twelve chapters; each chapter introduces a few basic words in texts and listening exercises. Oral excercies following each chapter enables the readers to practice converstation skills in a role-play setting.

The language points are introduced in each unit to reinforce correct grammar usage. Exercises aimed to clarify the lingustic differences between Cantonese and Mandarin words are beneficial to the Mandarin speakers and intermediate learners who is serious in learning how to read and write in Cantonese.
